Copying Skills with Affinity!

Aiden Kellermain survives as a small-time con artist in the back alleys, following his father's rule that getting involved in matters above his station only brings trouble. He even remembers a previous life on Earth and recognizes the world around him as something resembling a fantasy game, so he deliberately avoids the major characters tied to its dangerous main story. That careful life collapses when Noel Astrea Simus, the empire's legendary female knight, kidnaps him and asks him to pretend to be her husband for one year. The encounter unlocks Aiden's special skill, Weaver of Fate, which lets him copy abilities from important figures by raising their affinity toward him. A man who wanted nothing to do with the world's main plot is suddenly rewarded for getting closer to exactly the people he had been trying to avoid.
