What it's about
Raven Balt, the surviving son of a disgraced noble family, spends ten brutal years in the empire's Devil's Army to earn a pardon. Just before that sentence ends, he is ordered to protect Allen Pendragon, heir to a once-great house famous for its bond with dragons. A conspiracy kills them both, but Raven opens his eyes seven years earlier inside Allen's body. Now carrying his own memories in the young duke's identity, he sets out to discover who arranged their deaths, restore House Pendragon, and renew the family's legendary bond with Soldrake, the White Dragon.
