Nene Kashiwagi enters high school determined to leave behind her sporty middle-school image and finally experience the kind of romance she has always imagined. With new clothes, makeup and a more feminine look, she tries to reinvent herself, but her old friend Jun Endou keeps teasing her whenever her efforts go wrong. After Nene's first attempt at love ends painfully, Jun is unexpectedly the one who stays beside her. The problem is that Jun still has feelings for his first love, Izumi. As Nene realizes that her own feelings for Jun have changed, she is forced to decide whether to hide them and support him or risk their friendship by being honest.
