What it's about
Leon has spent years training his swordsmanship at the royal academy, yet effort alone has never been enough to defeat his gifted rival Lionel. Just as Leon begins to accept that the gap between them may be impossible to cross, the Holy Sword Elsyd appears. The sword was supposed to choose the hero named in prophecy, but instead it selects Leon because of his character and determination. Elsyd does not make his new pupil instantly unbeatable: Leon is subjected to severe training, forced to rebuild his fundamentals, and pushed to understand swordsmanship in ways he never imagined. After finally proving himself against the rival he could not surpass, Leon leaves the academy and begins the larger journey required to become a genuine hero.
