Pick Up a Grimoire, Become a Mage

A college student buys an old grimoire from a secondhand bookstore out of simple curiosity and discovers that the book is genuine. Instead of handing him convenient fantasy spells, it drags him into the hidden rules of real occult magic and leads him into a contract with an invisible vampire capable of tearing people apart. Forced to keep both the grimoire and his new supernatural identity secret, he begins learning rituals, dealing with dangerous mysteries and growing into a mage inside an otherwise modern world.
