Mayu Kousaka starts middle school still embarrassed by the rejection she received from her childhood crush, Shinya Amamiya. At her family's café, one of Mayu's tears falls into a special seven-color drink prepared by Pucho, a tiny beverage fairy who hoped the potion would let her grow into an adult. Mayu drinks it instead, and from then on almost anything she drinks causes a strange transformation: milk can change her size, water can make her invisible, and other drinks produce equally unpredictable effects. Pucho decides to help Mayu win Shinya's heart while the two search for the colored droplets needed to recreate the magical drink.
