What it's about
Park Hyeonmyeong spent five years trying to clear Pangaenia, the game in which his anonymous character, the Phantom, became a legend. His last run ends when that character dies and is permanently deleted. Outside the game, he is unemployed and dealing with a breakup; losing the Phantom also takes away the goal that kept him going. Then Pangaenia begins merging with reality. Hyeonmyeong gets another start, now carrying thirteen hidden traits that ordinary players cannot access. He knows the game's rules, but a world where failure has real consequences will demand more than the habits of an elite player.
