What it's about
Aidan is a blacksmith in a game world, an NPC who spends his days caring for his younger sister, Elise. When a system moderator erases their village during routine maintenance, Aidan watches the only family he has disappear. He should vanish with the rest of the town, but a flaw in his code leaves him alive—and grants him a privilege no ordinary NPC should possess: Moderator Level 1. Now able to interfere with the rules of his own world, Aidan stops thinking like a background character. He sets out to learn what the system's administrators can do, grow his authority, and strike back at those who treated entire lives as disposable data.
